LANCASTER, CALIFORNIA, Dec. 19, 2017 — Advanced Clutch Technology (ACT) has released a range of new clutch kits for the 2008-2013 Toyota Corolla and Toyota Matrix equipped with 1.8L engines.
ACT’s new clutch kits for the Toyota Corolla and Matrix include a choice of pressure plate, a choice of disc, a release bearing, and an alignment tool while being compatible with the OEM flywheel. The Heavy Duty and Xtreme pressure plates incorporate hardened diaphragm fingers for decreased wear and provides a 28-68% increase in clamp force over the stock unit.
The ACT Street clutch kits combine the Heavy Duty or Xtreme pressure plate with a performance organic street disc. The disc features premium organic friction materials able to withstand increased heat and abuse, steel-backed linings for high-burst strength and modifications engineered for quicker shifting. The ACT Street clutch kit provides a moderate and consistent pedal feel, smooth engagement and significantly improved durability. These kits meet SFI Spec 1.1 and have an increased torque capacity from 240 to 310 ft.-lbs, depending upon the pressure plate choice.
The ACT Race clutch kits combine the Heavy Duty or Xtreme pressure plate with a cerametallic Xtreme Race disc, which is available in 6- and 4-pad spring-centered and rigid-hub designs. These discs are highly durable while allowing for quick shifting. The Xtreme Race discs are for high-powered engines and recommended for track use only. The ACT Race clutch kits meet SFI Spec 1.1 and are rated to hold up from 305 to 400 ft.-lbs. of torque at the crank, depending upon the pressure plate choice.

LANCASTER, CALIFORNIA, June 21, 2016 — Advanced Clutch Technology (ACT) is pleased to introduce its new triple-disc clutch kits for Toyota’s 2JZ-GTE engine with G-Force 101 transmission. This race triple-disc clutch kit is certified as meeting SFI Spec. 1.2.
Race proven through ACT’s involvement with some of Formula Drift’s top drivers, ACT now offers a bolt-in 7.25” race triple-disc clutch kit for the Toyota 2JZ-GTE engine with G-force transmission. This triple-disc clutch kit features a pressure plate, three sintered iron discs, a XACT Prolite flywheel, and pilot bearing.
With ACT’s ability to design and manufacture diaphragm springs, the ACT Research & Development team was able to keep the pedal effort light, while greatly increasing torque capacity. The sintered iron discs allow for quick shifting and provide extra surface area for high-heat capacity and long life. This kit can support up to 1685 ft.-lbs. of torque at the crank.
The XACT Prolite flywheels are a one-piece Chromoly construction with machined slots to provide the lowest inertia and best throttle response. In addition, ACT’s XACT flywheels can be cost-effectively resurfaced.
